About Us
History
Sparrey Consulting was founded in 2008. Upon discovering that bright young professionals were spending an average of 90 hours completing applications to top-tier MBA programs, company founder Andrea Sparrey saw an opportunity to provide a valuable service to these busy and talented individuals.
After helping applicants gain admission to schools such as Stanford, HBS, Wharton and Kellogg during the 2008 application season, Andrea expanded her services and began developing programs to aid rising stars at other points in their career. Sparrey Consulting works with clients establishing career paths just out of college, positioning themselves to apply to business school and other top graduate programs a few short years down the road, or laying the groundwork to rise to the executive level.
In just four years, Sparrey Consulting has grown to employ a staff of six, with advisors providing a variety of career consulting specialties. As we continue to grow, we look forward to providing clients with even more innovative, exciting ways to explore and make the most of their careers.
Recent Successes
During the 2011 admissions season, the Sparrey Consulting team worked with dozens of MBA candidates helping them secure admission to a variety of business schools, including HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Booth, Columbia, Kellogg, UCLA, Vanderbilt, USC, NYU Stern, Tuck, and Yale. We have also worked with over 20 clients this year alone on other career-advancement opportunities ranging from resume review to career-mapping exercises to intensive interview preparation and evaluation of offers.
Sparrey Consulting has also conducted group exercises for corporate clients interested in helping their rising talent get the most out of their professional lives. These sessions have been conducted for groups as varied as 85 Broads, Connected Women of Influence, Berkeley Graduate Women in Engineering, UCSD’s FBLA and UC Irvine’s Women in Engineering program.
